Jaime Morton, Artist & Shop Manager
Growing up around her father, Magnum Tattooing founder Jay Morton, Jaime experienced a wide range of what the industry had to offer, and after piercing for a number of years, she decided to apprentice as a tattoo artist. While juggling piercing duties and academics, Jaime completed apprenticeship in 2003 and has been rising the ranks at Magnum Tattooing ever since.
A scholar of fine art and business, Jaime has been becoming acclimated more and more to her position of shop manager at Magnum Tattooing in Grand Rapids. In addition to day-to-day tasks of the position, she’s also welcomed and implemented the state regulations passed in January 2010 to make tattooing safer and more sanitary.
Jaime’s tattooing style and qualifications
Since beginning in the trade, Jaime Morton has preferred to work with colors, bringing out vibrant shades to the skin of her clientele. Morton has also excelled in traditional-style artwork, bringing her own personal brand of boldness and brightness to each piece, giving customers from the Grand Rapids area designs begging to be shown off.
As Magnum Tattooing is a big proponent of sanitary and safe tattoo standards, Jaime has been trained in the latest techniques for ensuing a cleanly and safe process. Jaime Morton is Blood Borne Pathogens Cross Contamination Certified, as well as CPR/AED Certified.
