Stacey Buck
Stacey Buck joined the staff of Magnum Tattooing as an apprentice in November 2010, learning the trade from the experienced artists at the shop.
Following formal art training at Grand Valley State University (Stacey holds a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts), she got interested in tattooing professionally. After asking around Grand Rapids for reputable tattoo shops, Stacey approached Magnum for an apprenticeship position.
Art and tattoo experience
During her time at Grand Valley, Stacey focussed her efforts on illustration, watercolor and artwork in pen and ink. Her other interests included sculpture, metal work and oil painting.
During her time at Magnum, she’s received instruction from lead artist and shop manager Jaime Morton and other members of the tattoo shop in Grand Rapids. She’s currently working on developing her skills in realistic tattoos and portraits.
Other interests besides tattooing
While she’s been working on training in the art of tattooing, Stacey has also worked as a freelance illustrator. She recently provided illustrations for an anatomy guide for Wayne State University and also illustrated a children’s book.
