Artists at Magnum Tattooing and The Amulet
Since its founding by Jay Morton in 1988, Magnum Tattooing has sustained a roster of award-winning tattooists who’ve stayed at the forefront of sterility without sacrificing their high degree of artistic quality. In 1993, The Amulet branched out as a piercing-dedicated studio, maintaining Magnum’s vision of cleanliness and service but focusing exclusively on the art of body piercing.
Meet the artists of Magnum Tattooing
Magnum’s founder, Jay Morton, still operates out of the Grand Rapids location in a limited capacity, but he has also made way for the hottest artists the area has to offer. Jaime Morton adopted the family trade and has been tattooing since 2003, after serving as a piercer for The Amulet. She now also works at the shop manager at Magnum.
Stacey Buck joined the artists at Magnum more recently, beginning an apprenticeship in 2010, while Jimmy “Inker” Holland came to the shop in April 2011 as a featured artist.
At Magnum Tattooing, customers can investigate all our artists’ portfolios to decide which style best suits their body art needs.

As an associated enterprise of Magnum Tattooing, The Amulet is also home to the finest body piercers in the business. Combined for years of body piercing experience, Jennifer LaBryn has been in the Magnum family for several years, enforcing only the highest standards of safety and service in body piercing in a relaxed and comfortable environment. More recently, Ron Blattner joined the Amulet family as a secondary piercer.
